Parents As Teachers is a nationally recognized program designed to provide the support and information parents need to help their children develop optimally during their early years. This program is being brought to the area by Advocates Against Family Violence.

Our services include:
- Personalized home visits by trained, bilingual parent educators to families with children ages 0-5 years.
- An extensive curriculum of child development information created in collaboration with neuroscientists from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO
- Information on child care and family activities.
- Regular screenings on your child's development.
- Fun group meetings with other parents who share similar concerns.
- Referrals to community and educational services as needed.
All services are free and available in Spanish!

How we can help you!
Our Parent Information Resource Center (PIRC) program is available to help any family succeed academically by promoting parental involvement and as a result strengthen families and the community as a whole. We are funded by the U.S. Department of Education and are implementing the program in Canyon County and Owyhee County.
We focus on families. The goal of the PIRC program is to assist parents in realizing the value of taking responsibility for their child's education and becoming actively involved in their child's academic success.
