It should not hurt to go home and no one should feel ashamed or afraid to go to work.  The work environment may be one of the only safe havens some victims of domestic violence have.  It is important that we work together within our companies to ensure that the work place is not creating victims. We should strive to give each individual a safe place to learn about options, provide support and offer assistance.  Only then can individuals move beyond the fear and hopelessness that accompanies a violent relationship.
