Hope’s Door created an organic garden that we would like to share with the public.The garden has three main goals:
It provides a sustainable income for the shelter
It gives the residents an opportunity to work in the Garden and have fresh vegetables
It also offers the children the opportunity to work in the garden and see how fruit and vegetables are produced.
We currently have the following things ready in the garden:

4) Or if you prefer to come and pick your own - give us a call to schedule a time to come and shop for your vegetables right out of the garden. You can't get any fresher than that.
Crisis Intervention
In order to assist women and children in establishing violence-free lives, Advocates Against Family Violence, Inc. and Hope's Door provides the following services:
Temporary emergency wheelchair accessible shelter, food and clothing
24-hour crisis line and peer crisis intervention counseling.
Information and referral for community resources
Advocacy for welfare, legal and medical systems.
Volunteer training for crisis services staff.
On-going support groups for survivors of domestic violence.
Support groups for children
Community education addressing issues of domestic violence, providing speakers for groups and agencies.
Continued support for women who have left the shelter and are making a transition into a violence-free lifestyle.
Support and services to rape and sexual abuse survivors.
Advocates Against Family Violence, Inc. and Hope's Door offers safety, confidentiality, and support to all women and children who are survivors of violence regardless of race, ethnicity, physical ability, age, religion or sexual orientation.
